SBRA: Formed to Foster Best Integrity Practices Applied Uniformly

The Sports Betting Regulatory Association is the umbrella group of over thirty five regulatory agencies in North America responsible for the regulation of sports betting in their jurisdiction.   The enormous growth of this regulated activity presents enormous challenges to ensure responsible gaming, account security, consumer confidence, and contest integrity.

The SBRA, an outgrowth of the highly respected Association of Racing Commissioners International (ARCI) provides a mechanism for collective policy formation, exchange of information, research, education and training, integrity advocacy, and the development of reforms and services designed to assist its members safeguard the interests of the public. 

SBRA member agencies conduct background investigations and license those handling wagers and review and approve the integrity safeguards in place as a condition to authorizing events to be offered for wagering by licensees.   The review the work of mandated integrity monitors and work to develop and enact safeguards to ensure responsible gaming.  

As the sports betting regulatory landscape continues to evolve the SBRA will play a major role in working with regulated entities as well as sport leagues and federations to develop workable and effective solutions to the challenges everyone faces.
